Well, I was informed by my grandpa papa that there really isn't such thing as a fairweather Cardinals fan. There really isn't such thing AS a true Cardinals fan - if there is, they are few and far between.
So, me deciding to be excited for the Cardinals in winning their FIRST EVER NFC championship or something like that. In franchise history. So Arizona is in shock, not quite sure how to handle a winning football team.
We're used to baseball winning, basketball, fo'sho, and even at one point, hockey.
But football?
I think not.
Until now.
So, my goal is to convince my NC friends to root for AZ, because, well, if the Cardinals win, then their loss won't be so in vain - isn't it so much better to be beaten by the winner, instead of the loser?
The one difficulty will be my friend from PA, who wears her Eagles jersey throughout the year whenever they won. The Eagles have real fans.
But, I did buy a Cardinals shirt whilst still in AZ, just in case. (fingers crossed)
