Today is my birthday. At least for twenty more minutes.
It was a good day. I didn't tell a soul at work. It was kinda fun to have a secret all day. The only bad thing about keeping a secret is that they sometimes feel bad when they find out later. But they shouldn't! It's not like I broadcast the news or anything.
I chatted with the padres before work, received many happy greetings from friends (thanks!), a scoop of icecream from another (thanks!!) and din din with an aunt and uncle and their family.
Once home I got a package containing Downton Abbey(!) and a book I preordered that just happened to have the release date of today. Oh and my oboe came back from the hospital. Yay! I haven't played it yet as work was super busy, but tomorrow. Apparently it was leaking quite badly. Even at the joints because the wood had really dried out, etc. Poor little oboe misses NC.
As today is my 29th birthday (I am SO old now) and there are actually 29 days in the month of February, I'm going to attempt to post everyday this month. As always, I promise no brilliance. Nor do I even have any sort of theme to these posts. Read at your own risk. :)
For now, I bid you adieu. My bed doth beckon me.

Happy birthday, friend. Just so you know, 29 has been treating me pretty well so far. Might be one of my favorite ages yet :) I hope you like it!
Happy birthday! I'm glad you had a good day. One of the maids on Downton reminds us of you (the lovely one of course).
Happy Birfday!! You are so awesome Heidi! Remember when we played krumhorn with Adele? Those were the glory days! Let's go to lunch next week. Seriously.
DOWNTON ABBEY LOVE LOVE LOVE. You couldn't wait to watch it all at Masterpiece theatre, so you ordered it eh? Don't you hate Thomas? I hate that kid.
Adele - so far, so good! May your babe's birfday be soon! :)
Wendy! You mean the maid that is continually reminding her beau she'll be his mistress?? That may work for me.... :D
kidding. kidding.
Briana - I LOVE THE KRUMHORN! And food. We should eat food at the sametime sometime soon!
Lizzy - Downton Abbey was a GIFT from the padres. So there. An added benefit is I can watch it on a tv vs a computer. And I'll know what happens. Earlier than some people at least. mwahaha. And though Thomas is not my fave, he is starting to grow on me a bit.
I don't know what I was thinking - it was her cute curly haired ladyship that we were saying reminded us of you. Sorry for downgrading you a few social classes. I didn't mean it! (and this is Wendy -I am not signing out)
@Wendy
Ohh, yay! I love Lady Cora! I find that much more appealing then a mere maid of all things. heh.
