I knew there was a reason to liking (being partially obsessed with) the Percy Jackson books!
As I was doing my bedtime ritual of checking the bloggies, there was a post from their author, who is currently traveling Greece or something like that with his family and a contest winner or something. Ya, the competition was for youngsters, so I didn't pay too much attention.
Anyhoo, as the family had an extended layover in London, they visited some of the more touristy sites, which included the London Eye and Big Ben, which his kids were familiar with because of....wait for it....Doctor Who!
Which brings up a moral dilemma that I am currently experiencing.
Christopher Eccleston, the ninth doctor, is in the new GI Joe movie. The dilemma is, well, I don't really like meat-head-hulking-male-lead-led-smash-em action-type-movies. But, but.... Can I justify supporting monetarily a movie I don't like to see an actor I do? And horror of horrors, what if I find I actually do like the movie?
What is a girl to do? Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi, You're my only Hope.
Perhaps she should go to bed and quit worrying.
Does staying up till 6:26am count as early to rise?
'night.

I say you go see the movie. I think it looks mildly entertaining...and Channing Tatum is attractive. Also, you need to go to bed earlier my friend! You are going to make yourself sick!
Oh Lizzy! This is the first time probably since Utah that I've stayed up past two this summer. I'm okay, though the getting back on a proper sleep schedule is stinky, that's for sure.
You think Channing Tatum is attractive? Hmm...my jury is still out on that one.
Heidi, on behalf of your wallet and in the name of hard working, good movies everywhere, do not go and see G.I. Joe the movie. I repeat, DO NOT go and see G.I. Joe. I consider it my mission in life to prevent people from making bad moviegoing choices. You will only live to regret your choice.
Here is what has worked for me... just find someone else who wants to see it, and pretend like it was their fault that you spent the money on the movie. Then if you liked it you can blame them, and if you didn't like it you can blame them. This works especially well if you are married to said movie chooser, but beware the netflix cue will become very hard to control, and you will feel that he wastes too much money on going to see stupid movies. (like public enemies, which even he decided was a waste of money.)
