it's raining here

and I have so much I should be doing.

Instead, I am updating my goodreads account. Which has got me thinking - Those of you who read this, I know (I think) personally. And I appreciate and value your opinions.

Should we not join together and share these opinions? These great books that we enjoy?

I thought about a bloggie book club, but we have such different demands in our lives that it would be asking a lot for everyone to be reading the same book, at the same time. Though, there may be some who would want to. I guess, what I'm saying is, what would be the best way to share our ideas and the next 'must read'?

A blog where we're all members, who can contribute?

This goodreads thing?

Is this even something that would be interesting to someone, other than myself, and I'm delusional?

I'm on goodreads. what is your account? Mo, Lucinda, and Laura are on it too.

My hot suggestion: Hunger Games. We read it in Jan for our ward book club. I LOVED it! Couldn't put it down!

Ohmigoodness, I loved that book, too. I 'read' it fairly recently.

I think that my account name is just 'Heidi.' Are you by name? This is exciting!

I haven't joined goodreads yet because I don't want to admit to myself that it takes me two months to finish a novel these days. I used to be able to read huge things in a matter of nights (partly because thats what english majors have to do, and partly be because I wasn't old and could live on less sleep.)

I'm currently reading Cold Mountain, and I'm undecided right now, I like it then I don't and I have not good reasoning for either opinion (I'm blaming it on pregnancy brain.) I would be an avid reader of book club blog, but I'll have to wait before I am back to contributing status.

I love the idea, but I'm in charge of our ward book club and it's as much as I can do to keep up with those books! I really need good book recommendations, though! So you would recommend Hunger Games?

I really enjoyed Hunger Games. It does deal with violence, and kids killing each other (eep!) but it was very well written, and it talked a lot how the Hunger Games were wrong.

I'm sure there'd be someone who would object, but I think it'd be an overall success.
